COUP DE COEUR **

Founded in 1610, one of the oldest Fronsacs, dominated by an outstanding residence overhanging the "Vallée de l'Isle". The estate remained in the same family more than three centurie, and then, was sold to Michel Rullier.

Since 2002, his daughter Brigitte, is in control and the quality of the wine did not suffer from it: for her third vintage, she hits the "Coup de coeur", with this blending wine based on merlot (90% with a touch of cabernet franc).
The brightly colour looks sure, like the intense bouquet combining with style well-ripe fruits, and toasted and menthol notes. The rest doesn't let us down: powerful, fat and persistent, the palate evolves delicately into well-extracted tannns. A bottle full of reserve, could be forgotten 2 to 8 years into a cellar to allow him revealing its secrets.

Bordeaux Aujourd’hui

Great garnet-red colour, brilliant and intense. Fine and rich nose with ripe fruits on an oaky-vanilla background. One can taste the richness of the vintage in mouth, fleshy, spelling, velvety, but delicate and pure.

This 18th Century Chateau and its park do overhang the "Vallée de L'Isle". The viticulture is here very ancient, and has gained in the 80's a strong fame, as Michel Rullier drew a very powerful Fronsac, with tight and dense tannins, with a full bodied nature.
Since the beginning of he century, this energetic but sometimes abrupt style has softened felicitously, and the wines have gained refinement, while keeping their strictness.

Drink: 2010 to 2016 

Ample volume, strong extension. A worth-keeping Fronsac.

Very dense and inky color, the nose is young and fresh, showing violets and dark fruits, still quiet close, the palate has a good density but is rather harsh now and will soften with age, good lengh and potentiel.

Coup de Cœur. Well fleshy, concentrated spiced tannins, mouthful, with notes of blackcurrant, undergrowth and liquorice. Rich substance and colour.

Fleshy coat, delicate with a high quality tannin, a nice and very harmonious Fronsac.
